A Walk In The Woods

I went on a walk in a nearby forest and took photos of the magical creatures living there. If you make a single sound they will disappear so you must be quiet when approaching them and never be spotted… For this photography project I wanted to combine my new knowledge of taking photos with my drawing skills. Nature is already a huge work of art so in a sense this is a collaboration, one of many, with nature. After picking out and editing the photos I drew what I could see in my mind, on the photos digitally. The creatures came out as shadow like figures that can easily slip out of sight in a location such as this forest where there are many shadows. I also played with the idea of light creatures and how they might interact with the shadows. Photos edited in Photoshop and creatures drawn in Procreate.
