Contacting Peterborough Cathedral & questions

We’ve been steadily developing the concept of the exhibition. The current theme is a music-based exhibition which will feature art inspired by songs which will have a Spotify code that allows the viewer to listen to the song.

It doesn’t seem like we’re making any progress with the venue. One class member called a few places, but we still don’t have a confirmed place. We definitely don’t have much time to get a venue because it’s already quite late, so I tried calling Peterborough Cathedral and had a chat with the events manager.

I told them about the project, and they seemed interested. They said the pricing would be £100 but it would be negotiable if we had a meeting with them.

I relayed this message in the class group chat. Not everyone replied but the people who did seemed daunted by the meeting. They also started to consider the college as a venue instead. I didn’t mind too much as I was just trying to get a discussion going. I was a little disappointed that they’d consider another option when we have a good opportunity. I wanted a decision as quick as possible but not enough people replied. I’m considering holding a meeting at break to discuss our options and make everyone vote.
