Client meeting

I brought my laptop to the meeting to show the presentation and to take notes.

Both acting head and acting deputy were at the meeting. I explained what is required for my brief and talked a bit about my experience. In turn they told me a bit about the school before we got into what work they need done for the school.

I made a list of what they mentioned. I liked the idea of doing a mural, but I thought it wouldn’t meet the requirements of the brief. I like the maths wall idea as well but I though it wouldn’t be that challenging.

In the end we agreed on a new school prospectus because they don’t have an actual prospectus, they have a folder which they put all the information in which is essentially a huge pile of papers. They said some of the information was outdated, including the photographs used on the folder.

I’m not so sure about taking new pictures for the prospectus myself but I still put the offer on the table. The prospectus also has to be A4 in size.

I asked them if the had any brand guidelines I can follow but they don’t. So I just asked them what elements of the design should be kept from the old prospectus and noted that down. I don’t think it will be hard to replicate the schools branding so I’m not worried about that.

I asked for a copy of their logo and they said they would send that along with the content for the prospectus.
